With some of the countries finest swing and jazz musicians, the Barrel House Vipers have had crowds dancing from Glastonbury to New Orleans - and now it's our turn!
The Barrel House Vipers are comprised of some of the best players on the UK Jazz and Swing scene. They have toured Europe, America and extensively across the UK specialising in early jazz and blues from the 1920’s to the 1940’s. The band have a unique offering of rich vocal harmony, original arrangements and repertoire drawing from: Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong as well as lesser known hidden gems.
Playing a range of music, but specialising in 1920’s/30’s Jazz, providing that unique vintage sound, designed to add style and sophistication to any occasion.
The band are a collective comprising as its core: Rachel Lawrence (vocals/washboard/accordion), Bill Frampton (double bass/harmonica) and Gus Dolding (tenor banjo/clarinet/guitar).They are joined by various dynamic soloists they have met on their travels and feature a mix of; trumpet, trombone, saxophone, clarinet, violin.
The musicians met in Bristol and have played together at Glastonbury, in New Orleans and numerous European venues.
