Dynamic indie-folk with vocals, cello, accordion, synths and drums. "Music at its 21st century best" - Tom Robinson, BBC 6 Music
Good Habits are a dynamic indie-folk band turning existential musings into bursts of optimism. With vocals, cello, accordion, synths and drums, their sound is virtuosic, cinematic and joyfully genre-blending. Part folk storytelling, part groove-driven energy.
Formed by singer-cellist Bonnie and accordionist/synth player Pete while stranded in Aotearoa New Zealand during the pandemic, the band built their identity around adventure, connection and creativity. In 2025, the addition of drums (Jen Walinetski) supercharged their live show with electrifying rhythmic drive. Their UK Top 40 album Quarter-Life earned praise from BBC Radio and appearances at Glastonbury, WOMAD, Cambridge, Green Man and more.
Together, they create performances that are equal parts virtuosic musicianship, mischievous energy, and deeply meaningful connection.
